Allyson suggested that I make Simon a cat cowl and here you go! I reduced the cabled cowl pattern with three seed stitches on the sides from five and cabled two instead of four and a mini-cowl was born.
This picture shows many things 1) Simon can stand up and get off the couch. Here he is perched on our sink where he waits in the morning for either Big A or me to give him water from the faucet. 2) our bathroom is filthy 3) redheads can wear red and look good.
I am totally lying to you. This is a ear-warming head band for my mom to match the cowl I made her for her b-day last week. But it is ALSO a mini-cat cowl. I knit it during the Superbowl. I also donated money to Planned Parenthood after they showed the Focus on the Family ad (totally Doc Scooter’s idea), though I really thought it was terrible. Did anyone else notice the huge doses of misogyny in the ads this year? Wow, are Ad Men angry or what? Also, those were some seriously boring ads. Angry and boring, what a combination.
I was THISCLOSE to losing my shit over that mini cat cowl!
Best. Photo. Ever.
And yes, I totally agree about the misogynist ads. Apparently there’s a dearth of real men out there, such that we need to advertise it. I’m glad my boys weren’t watching.
Holy mother Simon! How did all of that kitty fit on your sink? He’s a spry boy. And the cowl should belong to him, I just had to put that out there. He can work that look, for trues. And I was just thinking: kitty leg warmers, a do or don’t? Ponder.
