El Dugan is a freelance writer living and working in Chicago. She has her MFA from Columbia College, she is working on her first novel. She regularly contributes to Time Out Chicago, Venus Zine, Chicago Collection Magazine, UR Chicago, Centerstage Chicago, and NewCity, and is available for freelance work in the marketing, journalism, and consulting fields. Her fiction has appeared in Ducts.org, The Banana King, Reservoir Magazine, The South Loop Review, Grumble!, and Ugly Accent. She participated in the 2nd Story Festival in May of 2008 and in April of 2009.
She lives in the Ukrainian Village in Chicago with three cats (Piggy, Simon and Al) and a very patient boyfriend (Big A).
“Eldugan” is actually made up of her initials but it is also just cool. As her best friend says, “Brave men cower before El Dugan”. They do, or at least they should.
